Features such as sharing the Google Classroom code, adding files to the Materials, Classwork and Stream Tabs, hiding, displaying, and resetting Google Meet links, and creating Google Break Out rooms for collaboration opportunities will be reviewed with teachers.

Teachers will use components of the lesson cycle to “chunk” their videos and share with students as they progress through the lesson.

Notebooks for journaling, notetaking, reflection ad concept building will be reviewed. Attendees will learn how to create and conduct live Google Meet sessions with students for the delivery of online instruction. Attendees will also learn how to integrate Pear Deck as a presentation tool with Google Classroom (Pear Deck licenses will be provided to all teachers). Jamboard and Seesaw will also be reviewed for integration in lessons.

An overview of Google Classroom will be provided to help teachers navigate the tools to create a Classroom Banner, create/set up classes, create and assign Classwork to students, take attendance, create Material, manage the Stream, adding a co-teacher, etc. Attendees will also learn how to conduct live Google Meet sessions with students for the delivery of online instruction.

Teachers will learn about the Building Blocks of an Online Lesson as they relate to the lesson cycle. Online tools to be used to address each building block will be reviewed and extensions providing for the differentiation of instruction for special populations of students. A distinction between synchronous and asynchronous learning will be reviewed as will the following online tools/resources: Screencastify, YouTube Channel, EdPuzzle, Flipgrid, Wakelet, Quizizz, and Google Forms.
